Stall at New Town Plaza Saturday September 291 2017

We recommend no special trips to New Town Plaza tomorrow unless you want Complete Organic Fertiliser (COF). Cold weather has slowed our plants considerably and unfortunately our selection is very limited.

We have

50c Plug Seedlings
Marvel of 4 Seasons Butterhead Lettuce (40 plants)
Paris Island Cos (40 Plants)

$1 Seedlings
English Spinach

English Spinach and Marvel of Four Seasons Lettuce
We do have plenty of COF which means you can get your garden ready for your spring planting. COF improves the fertility of the soil and is designed for food gardens. One 7 litre bag does 10 square metres and costs $25. For more information about COF please click the link.

Would You like to be able to order plants for pick up or delivery?

Currently the only way you can buy our plants is at our stall at New Town Plaza on Saturdays. This season we are thinking of re-introducing orders for pick up and delivery. Plants would only be available while we are trading at New Town which (September 30 through to April).

Minimum order for delivery would be $50 in the Hobart area. Some further out areas would attract a $10 delivery fee.  Minimum order for pick up from our house in Moonah would be $25. Pick ups will be on Wednesday afternoons between 1pm and 6pm and deliveries on a Wednesday morning.

To gauge interest we have a created a short survey. We would appreciate if you could take the time to fill it out. There is also room for suggestions on how to improve our business.
Thanks
Chris

Getting ready for Spring

Our preparations are well underway for our first stall of the season. We have booked our New Town Plaza stall from Saturday September 30.
Tomatoes seedlings in our 80mm paper pots

Chris has been looking at how to make our plants better. In the last couple of years we introduced larger pots. Tomatoes do better in larger pots. Other plants like capsicums, chillies and eggplants only succeed in larger pots.

But plastic pots contribute to waste. As a business we seek to limit our impact on the planet.

After much thought we have decided to use paper pots. Chris can make a paper pot in 45 seconds. When labour costs are counted these pots are twice the financial cost of plastic but no cost to the planet. Another added bonus is the pots are bigger than ever before.

Look forward to seeing you in September.

Its been really great being at New Town Plaza and we look forward to coming back in October. The easiest way to keep up with our stall location and plant lists is to subscribe to receive emails.
